Copy & Move

The Copy and Move commands let you quickly send selected files to a destination folder. FilerFrog remembers your recently used destinations, so repetitive file transfers become effortless.

Usage

  1. Select the files or folders you want to copy or move.
  2. Right-click and choose FilerFrog → Copy to Folder or FilerFrog → Move to Folder.
  3. Pick a destination folder using the folder browser, or select one from your list of recent destinations.
  4. Click OK to start the operation.

Recent Folders

Every time you copy or move files, FilerFrog saves the destination folder. The next time you use the command, your recent folders appear in a quick-access list so you can select a destination without browsing. This is especially handy when you regularly move files to the same locations.

Move Up

The Move Up option moves selected files one level up in the directory hierarchy — from their current folder to the parent folder. This is a shortcut for a common operation that would otherwise require cutting, navigating up, and pasting.

Example

You receive daily reports in your Downloads folder and need to file them in D:\Reports\2025. The first time, you browse to that folder. From then on, it appears in your recent folders list and you can send new reports there with just two clicks.

Tip: The recent folders list is shared between Copy and Move operations, so a destination you used for copying is also available when moving files, and vice versa.
