What is FilerFrog?
FilerFrog is a free Windows Explorer shell extension that adds a powerful set of file management tools directly to your right-click context menu. Instead of switching between separate applications, you can rename, move, encrypt, resize, and organize your files right where you already work.
How It Works
Once installed, FilerFrog integrates seamlessly into Windows Explorer. Simply select one or more files or folders, right-click, and look for the FilerFrog submenu. All features are accessible from there — no separate window or application to launch.
Key Features
- Batch Rename — Rename multiple files at once using find-and-replace, auto numbering, alphabetizing, appending text, or truncating names.
- Copy & Move — Quickly copy or move files to frequently used destinations, with a saved history of recent folders.
- Extract & Organize — Move files into new folders or pull them out of nested directories with a single click.
- Image Tools — Batch resize images (including social media presets), overlay logos and watermarks with opacity control, or create PDF albums with PNG support, title pages, and captions.
- Encryption — Protect sensitive files with AES-256 encryption. A password strength indicator helps you choose a strong password. Files encrypted with older versions are automatically detected and supported.
- Split & Join — Break large files into smaller pieces with CRC32 checksum verification, then rejoin them with automatic integrity checking.
- Desktop Sorter — Automatically organize your desktop icons into visual groups with themed panels. Supports multi-monitor setups and undo.
- File List — Generate file listings in text, HTML, CSV, or JSON format.
- Dark Mode — All dialogs automatically adapt to your Windows dark/light mode setting.
- And More — Copy file paths (4 formats), update timestamps from any source, delete empty files with preview, select by extension, regex rename, and more.
System Requirements
- Windows 10 or later (Windows 11 fully supported)
- Available in both 32-bit and 64-bit editions
Tip: After installation, you may need to restart Windows Explorer or log out and back in for the FilerFrog context menu to appear.
