Touch

The Touch command updates the modification timestamp of selected files to the current date and time, without changing the file contents. This is useful when you need to refresh timestamps for sorting, syncing, or backup purposes.

How to Use

Select files, right-click and choose Touch from the FilerFrog menu. The Touch dialog offers three modes:

Use Current Date and Time

Updates all selected files' timestamps (Created, Modified, Accessed) to right now. This is the default mode.

Use Custom Date and Time

Pick a specific date and time using the date/time pickers. All selected files will be stamped with your chosen timestamp.

Copy from File

Browse for a source file and copy its timestamps to all selected files. Useful when you want a group of files to share the same date as a reference file.

Tip: This is particularly useful when you need files to appear as recently modified — for example, to trigger a backup system that only syncs files changed after a certain date.
